Terms and Conditions 

City Auto Detail LTD – Vehicle Detailing & Protection Services

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by City Auto Detail LTD (“we”, “our”, “us”) to the customer (“you”, “your”). 

By booking or purchasing our services, you agree to these Terms. 

 

  1. Services Provided

We provide professional vehicle care services including but not limited to: 

  • Exterior vehicle detailing 
  • Interior detailing and deep cleaning 
  • Machine polishing and paint correction 
  • Ceramic coatings 
  • Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation 
  • Vehicle decontamination 
  • Maintenance detailing packages 

Service results may vary depending on the vehicle’s condition, age, and materials. 

 

  1. Bookings and Appointments

Appointments may be made via our website, phone, email, or social media. 

When booking, customers must provide accurate information including: 

  • Vehicle make and model 
  • Vehicle size/type 
  • Current vehicle condition 
  • Required services 

If the vehicle condition differs significantly from what was described at booking, additional charges may apply or the service may be modified. 

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings at our discretion. 

 

  1. Pricing

Prices displayed on our website are starting prices unless otherwise specified. 

Final pricing may vary depending on: 

  • Vehicle size 
  • Vehicle condition 
  • Time required 
  • Additional services requested 

Customers will be informed of any price changes before work begins. 

 

  1. Deposits

Certain services require a non-refundable deposit, including but not limited to: 

  • Paint correction 
  • Ceramic coating 
  • Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation 

Deposits secure booking time and cover preparation costs. 

Deposits are deducted from the final balance. 

 

  1. Payments

Full payment is due upon completion of services unless agreed otherwise. 

Accepted payment methods may include: 

  • Debit / credit card 
  • Bank transfer 
  • Cash 
  • Online payment 

Failure to make payment may result in legal action or withholding of the vehicle where legally permitted. 

 

  1. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Customers must provide at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. 

If cancellation occurs within 48 hours: 

  • Deposits may be forfeited. 
  • A cancellation fee may apply. 

Missed appointments without notice may result in loss of deposit. 

 

  1. Customer Responsibilities

Before the appointment, customers must: 

  • Remove all personal belongings from the vehicle 
  • Ensure the vehicle is accessible 
  • Inform us of any known defects or damage 

We are not responsible for personal items left inside the vehicle. 

 

  1. Vehicle Condition and Pre-Existing Damage

Prior to service, we may perform a vehicle condition inspection. 

We are not responsible for: 

  • Pre-existing paint damage 
  • Stone chips 
  • Deep scratches 
  • Interior wear 
  • Weak or failing trim components 

Certain detailing processes may reveal hidden defects that were previously obscured. 

 

  1. Paint Protection Film (PPF) Services

PPF installation is a specialist service designed to protect painted surfaces from stone chips, scratches, and environmental damage. 

By booking PPF services, customers acknowledge: 

  • Minor imperfections may remain visible beneath the film. 
  • Film edges may be visible depending on installation areas. 
  • Some panels may require removal of trim components. 

After installation: 

  • Small bubbles or moisture pockets may appear and typically dissipate during the curing process. 
  • Customers must follow all aftercare instructions. 

Failure to follow aftercare guidance may void warranty coverage. 

 

  1. Service Limitations

Vehicle detailing cannot guarantee the complete removal of: 

  • All stains 
  • All scratches 
  • All odours 
  • All paint defects 

Some issues may be permanent depending on the material condition. 

 

  1. Liability

We take all reasonable care when working on vehicles. 

However, we are not liable for: 

  • Pre-existing damage 
  • Mechanical or electrical faults 
  • Damage caused by defective or aftermarket parts 
  • Issues arising from poor prior repairs 

Any claims must be reported within 24 hours of service completion. 

 

  1. Mobile Services

For mobile detailing services: 

Customers must provide: 

  • Safe working space 
  • Legal parking 
  • Access to electricity and water if required 

Appointments may be rescheduled due to severe weather conditions. 

 

  1. Right to Cancel (Distance Bookings)

For bookings made online or remotely, customers may have cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. 

However, by agreeing to a service date within the 14-day cooling-off period, you acknowledge that cancellation rights may be reduced once the service has begun. 

 

  1. Customer Satisfaction

If you are not satisfied with a service, please notify us within 24 hours. 

We will review the issue and take reasonable steps to resolve the matter where appropriate. 

 

  1. Refusal of Service

We reserve the right to refuse or stop service if: 

  • The vehicle presents a health hazard 
  • Working conditions are unsafe 
  • The customer behaves abusively or aggressively 

 

  1. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. 

The latest version will always be available on our website.
